Air Quality Sciences (AQS) works with construction companies, architects, building owners, and investors to obtain GREENGUARD Building ConstructionSM Certification for new construction or major renovations. This certification meets the requirements of GEI/ANSI National Standards MMS1001 and is a necessary step in protecting a building from losses associated with moisture intrusion and mold contamination.
Key benefits of this program include:
- Reduction in the risk of occupant complaints, lost rent, personal injury litigation and negative publicity due to poor IAQ and or building related symptoms
- Financial savings and fewer schedule delays due to early identification and resolution of problems
- Increased lifespan of mechanical and building envelope components
- Increase in property value as a result of promoting safe, comfortable indoor environments
- Ability to position construction companies and architectural firms as healthier, “greener” businesses
- Qualification for LEED 2009 for Schools EQ Credit 10: Mold Prevention
- Qualification for LEED 2009 for Commercial Interiors – Innovation in Design Credit: Mold Prevention
- Reduction in potential lender objections when obtaining a loan
