In addition to assisting with VOC scans and other chemical testing, the AQS microbial laboratory has extensive experience with mold, environmental fungi and animal allergens.

Our primary microbial laboratory service is specialized mold resistance testing for building materials following ASTM D 6329. We conduct studies of mold growth on building materials, as well as toxins released by molds, and consult on effective ways to prevent mold and allergen contamination on materials. The laboratory also conducts tests that measure a product’s resistance to mold growth, as required by the GREENGUARD Certification programs for the Listing of Mold Resistant Products, 

Our expertise in speciating environmental molds, such as Stachybotrys, assists public health and medical professionals in evaluating human health concerns. Our microbial services are limited to large research or demonstration studies.
