BC - Investigation Services

Unfortunately, not all projects are done correctly the first time around. Plumbing failures, low quality pre-existing materials and other unpredictable factors often spawn mold, moisture and chemical emission problems.

The following are just a few of the services available from Air Quality Sciences (AQS) to investigate and resolve indoor air quality problems in buildings.

·         Evaluate causes (and provide solutions) related to employee complaints of building-related symptoms and illnesses

·         Conduct forensic studies of building envelopes and occupied spaces (including the observation of environmental conditions, air sampling and analysis and data interpretation)

·         Evaluate moisture-damaged buildings following natural disasters, mechanical failures and construction defects to manage sources of moisture and impact on occupants

·         Develop technical protocols for mold and chemical remediation aimed at protecting workers and effectively contain and remove  mold-infiltrated or chemically-contaminated building materials

·         Consult the AQS product emissions database (which includes more than 12,000 chemicals) to identify sources of unacceptable odors and chemicals

·         Provide public relations, media, employee, and community-based communications support for high profile indoor air quality problems

Once a building is restored to an acceptable operational state, AQS focuses on educating and training facility managers to help prevent future problems.
